Sutton also stole his sixth base of the season and threw out two runners trying to advance (Paul at 2nd base, De Jesus at home). Trumbo had just one hit in four at bats, but he knocked in two and though Conger (.236) went 0-2, he walked twice giving him 15 walks vs. 16 strikeouts on the season.

The Bad: Will Smith got tagged again in his second start with the Bees, giving up four runs on nine hits in 5 1/3 innings of work. The southpaw also walked three on the night against just one strikeout.

Noteworthy: Rob Quinlan (.255) walked three times for the Bees last night and scored a run. Ryan Budde returned to Salt Lake and Bobby Wilson rejoined the Angels.  Brian Walker also returned to Arkansas to make room for Budde on the Bees roster.

Arkansas Travelers

Noteworthy: Jay Brossman was placed on the seven day disabled list with lower back pain after Friday night's game on May 14, against the Tulsa Drillers. To fill Brossman's spot, infielder Carlos Colmenares and outfielder Richard Cates have been added to the roster.

Rancho Cucamonga Quakes

The Good: The bullpen. The Quakes bullpen arms: Kevin Nabors, Jose Perez and Eddie McKiernan pitched four scoreless innings, helping the Quakes a close one, 3-1. Jose Perez struck out five in two scoreless innings, while McKiernan earned his 5th save on the season with a scoreless ninth.

The Bad: The starting pitcher for the Quakes, Ariel Pena (0.93), gave up just one run on one hit on the night, but he walked six. The Quakes managed just five hits, just one extra base hit (Rian Kiniry double) against Dodgers 1st rounder last year, Aaron Miller.

Noteworthy: The Quakes (22-17) are just four games behind Lake Elsinore in the South Division. Get out to the Epicenter in Rancho Cucamonga to see this talented ball club of Angels' prospects if you're in Southern California or visiting.
