Salt Lake - The Bees and Sky Sox decided to drop the whole baseball thing, and play a football game. The Bees won, 23-11. There are just too many things to talk about offensively for the Bees, so I am forced to pick a few guys. Jeremy Moore went 3-6 with a home run, triple and a single. He now has 16 homers, 16 triples and 23 doubles. Efren Navarro went 3-5 with his 10th home run. In Spring Training, Scioscia was quoted as saying "This guy can easily be Gold Glove-caliber, This is as good a defender as you’re going to see at first base." Third baseman Jeff Baisley went 4-6, driving in his 97th run. He may see some time on the Angels bench in September.

Arkansas - Not much to report out of Arkansas on Tuesday. The Travs managed just 3 hits off of Tulsa Drillers pitching. Matt Shoemaker tossed another quality start. 6 innings, 2 runs, although he did walk 3 and only struck out 4. His ERA is now at 2.21. Steven Geltz was great in relief. 2 innings, 1 hit, 0 runs, 2 strike outs.

Inland Empire - Randal Grichuk made his debut for the Sixers, and went 1-4 with a double, and a couple nice plays in right field. Travis Witherspoon went 1-3 with a walk. He's hitting .273 in 11 at bats since joining the club. Max Russell started for Inland Empire, and went 6 innings, allowed 2 earned runs, struck out 3 and walked none. Since being called up to IE, Russell has a mediocre 4.34 ERA but his walk to strikeout ratio has improved dramatically. John Wiedenbauer lowered his ERA to 1.74 in 10+ innings with the club.

Cedar Rapids - Andy Workman was called up to CR after Grichuk left, and boy did he make an impression. In the bottom of the 7th inning, with the club trailing by 3, Workman, the pinch hitter, blasted a 3 run home run to left field, to tie it all up. Then, in the bottom of the 9th, Workman slapped a walk off single to center field. Andy was drafted in the 34th round this year. 23 year old lefty reliever Dakota Robinson picked up the win, tossing 2 scoreless innings, and lowering his season ERA to 3.06.

Orem - Tough game for the Owlz, as the Missoula Osprey put up a 10 spot in the 3rd inning, and took the game 12-6. Jerod Yakubik went 3-5 with 2 doubles to raise his average to .388 on the year. Many of the regulars were taken out because of the score, but Taylor Lindsey did collect another hit, going 1-2. Kyle Mahoney went 2-3, playing catcher. None of the pitching performances were noteworthy.

DSL Angels - Off

Prospect of the night: Andy Workman
