Interview conducted by Rick Dykhuizen, AngelsWin.com Contributor
Those following the Angels organization know that the Angels have been woefully short on pitching. So, with the June, 2013 draft, the Angels went heavily after pitchers, especially in the early rounds. In particular, they went after hard throwing guys with upside.
One of those players who fit that mold was Harrison Cooney. Taken in the 6th round, Harrison has a mid-90s fastball that he can dial up out of the pen. So far, that's where the Angels have been playing him, and that's a good thing. With the need for bullpen arms in Anaheim, hopefully Angels fans will be seeing Cooney soon!
