Tuesday night the Angels finished a two game sweep of the Oakland A's, defeating them 5-3. Shane Loux went seven strong, Darren Oliver pitched well in his return. Scot Shields ran into trouble in the 9th giving up a 2-run homer to Matt Holiday, however Brian Fuentes was able to shut the door for his seventh save of the season.
It was the top of the Angels order that did all the damage. Chone Figgins has heated up with back to back 3 hit games. He drove in two runs as did Gary Matthews Jr.
In case you missed it yesterday on Angelswin.com, Shane Loux did a Q&A with Chuck Richter.
Lackey on trackey! Big John threw 4 near perfect innings last night in his first rehab assignment start at AAA. Mike Scioscia reported that Ervin Santana felt good after his start on Monday other than "normal tightness". If Lackey and Santana progress they should be in line to return to the team sometime at the end of this home stand against Boston or Texas.
Angelswin.com's own Kevin "CoachBulldog" Mark was there to watch Lackey pitch for the Bees and has video up on YouTube for you to check out.

Lackey picked the right game to pitch in as the Bees managed a rare feat, with Brad Coon and Bobby Wilson each hitting Grand Slam Home Runs in the same inning.
Vladimir Guerrero swung the bat for the third consecutive day and will be examined by Dr. Yocum today.
After the Tuesday's game the Angels sent Brandon Wood back to AAA and recalled OF Reggie Willits.
