Torii Hunter's catch on Sunday, May 10th (Mothers' Day) was one of the finest I've seen in some time. If you consider the ground he made up to get to the ball, let alone the leap in the air and over the fence to pull it back, which preserved a 1 run lead in the top of the 9th secured in the hands of Angels' closer Brian Fuentes - it was one of the greatest moments & catches in Angels Baseball
There is discussion on the Angelswin.com message board about this same very catch and how it stacks up against some of the better catches in Angels history. What do you think? does this top the Erstad catch against the Yankees in left field? How about the over the shoulder and running catch & dive by Jim Edmonds in Kansas City, or the Fred Lynn and Brian Downing crash against the wall in '82 against the division rival KC Royals?
