The Angels took 2 out of 3 against the Blue Jays in Toronto to start the road trip. Not a bad feat at all considering they were 3-16 over their last 19 games at Rogers Centre. The highlight of the series was Jered Weaver's 10 strikeout performance in the Halos 8-1 win on Wednesday night.

Thursday's game saw more bullpen woes as Darren Oliver and Justin Speier couldn't hold the lead for starter John Lackey. However, struggling second baseman Howie Kendrick provided the game winner for the Halos with a bunt single and mad dash home to seal the 6-5 victory.

Kendrick's struggles have been well documented and there has been discussion of sending him down to the minors to get himself on the right track. Ervin Santana's struggle and demotion in 2007 followed by All Star success in 2008 have been one of the main reasons many fans believe the Angels should give it a try, especially with Brandon Wood and Sean Rodriguez tearing up AAA pitching.

Tony Reagins isn't sure that what worked for Santana would necessarily do the same for Kendrick

David Singh of MLB.com takes a look at the progress Kendry Morales has made during his first two months as an everyday player.

Singh along with Steve Bisheff write about the projected power numbers for the Angels and they aren't pretty.
