In this always evolving era of new media, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are today expanding their communications scope; for the first time in franchise history, an online fan site has been granted a full press credential during a regular season home game. That site is AngelsWin.com.
Site founder and Executive Editor Chuck Richter will do the honors today, enjoying the same full access to the players, coaches and front office personnel on the field, in the clubhouse and in the press box that has historically been reserved for members of the "mainstream" press.
"We're always looking for new ways to communicate with the Angels fan base and this is another venue for that communication," said Tim Mead, Angels vice president of communications. "This is the first time we've done this and Chuck and AngelsWin.com have earned the opportunity."
