The Angels return home from 4-2 road trip into Arizona and Texas to face the Baltimore Orioles over the 4th of July holiday. Unfortunately the two losses were to the second place Texas Rangers. One of the losses in walk off fashion after a big two out home run by Juan Rivera in the 9th inning to tie yesterday's game. Los Angeles returns in first place by only .5 games.

In a recent survey, ESPN the Magazine readers have selected the Angels as the most fan friendly franchise in sports. The club comes in #1 of the 122 franchises looked at. Kudos to Arte Moreno and team.

Angels pitching coach Mike Butcher comments on catchers Mike Napoli & Jeff Mathis's struggles throwing out runners and puts the blame on the pitchers. Butcher says the pitchers need to be quicker to the plate

Angel hitters are learning a lot from outfielder Bobby Abreu.

The Angels have reached agreement on a contract with Mike Trout their second first-round pick in the 2009 draft.

Ervin Santana returns to the rotation on Friday. After using Matt Palmer in relief Wednesday night, Mike Scioscia announced Palmer would remain in the bullpen with rookie Sean O'Sullivan starting on Saturday.
