The Angels eight game winning streak came to an end on Sunday against the Minnesota Twins, but the club will try to start a new one starting tonight as the Cleveland Indians come to town.
Joe Saunders looks to put his personal skid to an end as well. Saunders is 3-5 with a 6.34 ERA in his last 13 starts. Additionally the southpaw has an 8.18 ERA in four starts in July.
With the struggles of Saunders and Ervin Santana the Angels will be searching for pitching help as the July 31st trade deadline approaches. Top on their list is the Toronto Blue Jay's Roy Halladay. Fox Sports.com is reporting the Jays have asked for Joe Saunders, Brandon Wood, Erick Aybar and a minor leaguer, either pitchers Trevor Reckling, Sean O'Sullivan or outfielder Peter Bourjos.
