Texas hold 'em comes to Angel Stadium this weekend as the Halos return home from a successful 4-2 road trip and face the second place Rangers. With Texas having taken the seven of their first nine meetings, now is the perfect time for the Angels to step up and push the Rangers (4.5 gb) further down in the standings. Los Angeles has won 14 of their last 18 games.

Mark Saxon of the OC Register and T.R. Sullivan (Rangers MLB beat writer) answer questions about the Rangers success this season.

ESPN's Tim Kurkjian has written a feature about the "Angels' offense hitting a high note".

With Bobby Abreu's home run in the 5th inning of yesterday's game he became the sixth player in MLB history with 250 home runs, 2,000 hits, 1,000 runs, 1,000 runs batted in, 1,000 walks and 300 stolen bases. Most impressive.

Vlad Guerrero homered in his 3rd game back off the disabled list and is focused on the rest of the season, not the frustration of his injuries that have affected his offense early on.

Gary Matthews Jr. talks about being able to contribute to a winning team.
