Brunet’s WHIP were as low as 1.056 in 1968 and1.107 in 1965 – highest WHIP was 1.488. After his career in the majors was over Brunet pitched 14 more seasons in the minor leagues with most of those seasons being in the Mexican League. He posted 3,175 minor league strikeouts to go with his 921 major league strikeouts for a total of 4,096 strikeouts in 33 years of professional baseball.
