Quinlan sent to triple-A
The Angels made their first roster move since the season began, optioning utility man Robb Quinlan to triple-A Salt Lake. With the empty roster spot, the Angels select the contract of pitcher Bobby Cassevah.

Abreu cops to being a slow starter

The Bobby Abreu Angels fans have seen through four games isn’t the one they remember from 2009. He’s not hitting (3-for-15), he’s not walking (one walk in 16 plate appearances), and he’s not running (zero stolen bases).
