On April 12, 1999 the Anaheim Angels beat the Texas Rangers 13-5 at The Ballpark in Arlington. In the game the Angels set a team record with ten doubles. Tim Salmon and Troy Glaus both went 4-5 in the game with Salmon doubling twice and driving in five runs while Glaus doubled three times, driving in two. Ken Hill was the winner in the game. 1999 was the year that Glaus was installed as the Angels starting third baseman for the first time.
