April 13, 1982 was a long day at Anaheim Stadium as the California Angels beat the Seattle Mariners 4-3 in 20 innings.  Don Baylor was 5-9 in the game and Bob Boone drove in two in the win.  Luis Sanchez pitched the final 4 2/3 innings allowing no runs and one hit for the win. The 20 innings tied the longest for the Angels as they also went 20 innings at Oakland on July 9, 1971.  This game was the longest in duration in Angels history lasting 6 hours and 6 minutes.  1982 was the first year for Reggie Jackson, Doug DeCinces and Bob Boone as Angels.  It was also the last year Don Baylor would be an Angel.

Other Angels news occurring on April 13. In 1991 Dave Winfield set the Angels record for total bases in a game at 15 in a 15-9 win over the Minnesota Twins. Winfield had three home runs, a double and a single in the game.  In the same game the Angels set their team mark with six wild pitches thrown.
Love to hear what you think!
