This Day in Angels Baseball: April 21st, 2000

On April 21, 2000 at Tropicana Field the Anaheim Angels beat the Tampa Bay Devil Rays 9-6.  In the game the Angels would hit 6 home runs, 2 each by Mo Vaughn, Tim Salmon and Troy Glaus. At the time the 6 home runs would tie for the most by the Angels in a single game before the record was later broken when the Angels hit 7 in 2003. The 2 home runs in this game by Glaus would gave him 5 on the year by this time. In 2000 Glaus would go on to hit 47 home runs which would make him the all time single season leader in Angels history. Glaus would be voted onto the All-Star team and win a Silver Slugger award in 2000.
