This Day in Angels Baseball: April 22nd, 2005

April 22, 2005 the Angels would lose to the Oakland Athletics 4-3 at Angel Stadium of Anaheim when the A's would get two runs off closer Francisco Rodriguez in the top of the ninth inning.  In the game Scot Shields would pitch two innings for his fourth hold of the year.  In 2005 Shields would lead the American League in relief pitching with 91.2 innings, and ranked second with 98 strike outs and 32 holds and also filled in as closer recording 5 saves.  Shields would appear in an Angel record 78 games that year.
