April 24, 1971 saw the California Angels beat the Baltimore Orioles 7-4 at Anaheim Stadium. In the game Roger Repoz would hit a grand-slam in the bottom of the ninth inning to lead the halos to victory. Sandy Alomar would go 2-4 in the game and knock in a run. Alomar would play in 162 games in both 1970 and 1971 earning an All-Star berth in 1970. In 1971 Alomar would steal a career high 42 bases and his 689 at bats that year are an Angel record.
