This Day in Angels Baseball: April 29th, 1982

April 29, 1982 at Yankee Stadium the Angels would score 2 runs in the top of the 9th inning to beat the Yankees 2-0.  Geoff Zahn would pitch a complete game, allowing 7 hits while striking out 4. This would be Zahn's 4th victory in April as the Angels record went to 15-6.  Zahn would pitch for the Angels from 1981-1985 compiling a 52-42 record over that time.  1982 would be Zahn's best year when he went 18-8 with a 3.73 ERA finishing second in wins in the American league that year, helping the Angels to a 93-69 record and the AL West title.
