This Day in Angels Baseball: May 10th, 1979

May 10, 1979 at Fenway Park the California Angles would defeat the Boston Red Sox 5-3. Brian Downing went 3-4 scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 with a home run in the game and Carney Lansford and Don Baylor would also drive in a run to lead the Angels scoring. Don Aase would pick up the victory with Mark Clear getting the save. The Angels won the game, however Joe Rudi would hit into a triple play, one of the eight times opponents would achieve this in Angels history.
