Salt Lake Bees
Box Score

The Good: Mark Trumbo went 3-4 (.281) smacking two home runs, his 13th and 14th on the season while clubbing a double for his other hit on the night. Trumbo also walked and struck out. Could Trumbo be the answer at 1B while Kendry Morales is out for pretty much the rest of the season? Peter Bourjos (.262) went 3-5 in the leadoff spot, smacking his 3rd home run on the season while driving in three runs. Bourjos also stole three bases, giving him 11 on the season. Gabe DeHoyos (2.97) struck out four over two scoreless innings of work. DeHoyos has struck out 11 batters in his last three relief appearances. Michael Kohn (2.57) nailed down the victory for DeHoyos out of relief with his 2nd save as a member of the Salt Lake Bees.

The Bad: After notching three straight quality starts, Sean O'Sullivan was hit hard, giving up five runs on nine hits in six innings of work. O'Sullivan's ERA is currently at 4.94. Terry Evans went 0-5 and is hitting just .244 on the season. This type of production in Triple-A is not going to prompt a promotion to the Big Leagues any time soon.

Noteworthy: Jeff Mathis is hitting just .188 after four games with the Bees. Mathis has no extra base hits and has struck out six times vs. walking just once.

Arkansas Travelers
Box Score

The Good: Tim Kiely (4.41) pitched well again, going six innings and giving up just two runs against the Astros Double-A farm club. Jordan Walden pitched a scoreless inning and a third of, striking out one. Ivan Contreras (.254) went 2-4 with a double and a triple. Fuller (4), Romine (12) and Moore (9) each stole a base on the night.

The Bad: Robert Fish took the loss on the night, giving up a late inning home run to break the tie. Roberto Lopez (.074) went 0-4 with three strikeouts on the night.

Noteworthy: The Travelers were picked off first base not once, not twice but three times on the night.

Rancho Cucamonga Quakes
Box Score

The Good: Luis Jimenez (.406) continued his hot hitting, going 2-5 with a triple. Tyson Auer (.308) had three hits, but was caught stealing for the 10th time. Gabe Jacobo (.298) and Darwin Perez (.278) each had two hits on the night. Perez knocked in two runners. Eddie McKiernan (3.47) nailed down his 10th save on the season with a scoreless ninth inning. He fanned two, giving him 25 K's in 23 1/3 innings.

The Bad: The 2B/SS Darwin Perez committed his 10th error on the season.

Noteworthy: Fresh off the disabled list, Pil Joon Jang went five innings on Monday, giving up three runs on seven hits. He did strike out six. The Korean has a 2.70 ERA in two starts for the Quakes this season.

Cedar Rapids Kernels
Sorry, no Mike Trout updates today. The Kernels had the day off on Monday.

Prospect of the Day: Mark Trumbo, 1B Salt Lake Bees
