Jarrod Washburn would get the win, pitching 6 innings, giving up 1 run and striking out 4. One day after beating the Expos 15-4 and hitting 6 home runs the Angels would set a club record with 7 home runs in this game. Brad Fullmer and Troy Glaus would homer in the game, Jeff DaVanon would hit 2 for his second day in a row and Garret Anderson swatted 3 home runs in this game. Both Anderson and DaVanon now had 4 home runs each in the first 2 games of this series. Anderson would also homer the next day, giving him 5 for the three games in Puerto Rico. Garret would have another solid year in 2003, after finishing 4th in the American League MVP vote in 2002. Anderson would get his second All-Star selection in 2003, where he would win the Home Run Derby and be named the MVP of the All-Star game and also win his second AL Silver Slugger Award in 2003.
