• Salt Lake: The Bees won in 13 innings 7-6 when Jeremy Moore scored on a passed ball. Moore (.188) went 2-6 on the night with a double. Tyson Auer went 1-3 with three walks on the evening, while newcomer Jeff Baisley (.429) had a couple hits and four RBI's, clubbing a three-run shot. Jeremy Berg was solid, pitching 2 1/3 scoreless innings of relief, striking out four. Steven Geltz got a 'fine how do you do' by giving up four runs on four hits in just 2/3 of an inning.
• Arkansas: The Travelers won their first game of the season on Monday night, with the help of starter Kyle Hurst who pitched five innings, allowing two runs, while striking out three to get the win.Chris Scholl and Ryan Braiser closed out the 8th and 9th innings to secure the win. Ryan Mount's multi-game hit streak was snapped after Mount went 0-3 on the night, though he did have an RBI. Mike Trout went 1 for 4 with a walk on Monday, but here's a quick preview of tomorrow's segment due to an early game for the Travs today. Mike Trout (.318) clubbed two home runs, going 3-4 on the day with five RBI's helping the Travs win their second game of the season in a 9-4 victory today over the Frisco Roughriders club. • Inland Empire: Not much to write about the 66'ers on Monday night as the team lost 6-0 and had just four hits, all singles. Reggie Willits who continues to rehab for the Inland Empire club went 1-4 on the night and is hitting just .200 with five strikeouts and just one extra base hit (2B).
• Cedar Rapids: Travis Witherspoon (.286) who is hitting third in the lineup for the Kernels, walked and went 1-3, hitting his 2nd home run of the season. The Kernels lost the contest 3-1 to the Wisconsin club.
