Inland Empire Clinches Playoff Position

Team to Open Postseason Wednesday, September 7th

San Bernardino, CA – The 66ers are heading to the postseason for the first time since 2008. A 1-0 win over Stockton on Monday night has clinched Inland Empire a spot in the playoffs in the team’s first season as an affiliate of Angels’ baseball.

Inland Empire will open the post season on Wednesday, September 7th against the Lake Elsinore Storm with home field advantage still to be determined in the final week of the season. The team with the better overall record between the two rivals will host the final two games of the three game series. The team with the weaker record will host the opener on Wednesday the 7th.

Inland Empire still has four home games left in the 2011 regular season, including Heroes night on Saturday, September 3rd which includes a post game fireworks extravaganza. Fans can receive tickets for the remainder of the 2011 season, including all remaining giveaway dates, with the purchase of full season tickets for 2012.
