Interview conducted by David Saltzer - AngelsWin.com Senior Writer
When it comes to Peter Bourjos, there’s a bit of a split that’s developed. Some like to call him “Speedy Petey”. Others prefer to call him “Gorgeous Bourjos”. Whichever is your preference, there’s one thing upon which all Angels fans can agree: he’s an integral part of the team. Watching him make highlight-reel plays on a nightly basis or kicking it into another gear on the base paths is as exciting as anything in baseball.
With the heart of the Angels lineup settled (it’s amazing how signing the greatest hitter in a generation stabilizes an offense) Scioscia has been splitting the leadoff duties between Aybar and Bourjos. When one isn’t leading off, the other one has been.
Prior to the end of Spring Training, AngelsWin.com caught up with Peter to find out how Spring Training was going for him. He shared some interesting tidbits with us, particularly about learning how to get better at the plate by listening to pitchers. Click below to listen to our interview with Peter Bourjos.
