(WAR) calculation.

I don't
think anyone would've predicted this at the start of the season. Young guns
Trout and Trumbo are leading the offense, with Hunter making a surprising
contribution as well led by an unusually strong defensive UZR rating.
The
bottom of the list shows where the Angels weaknesses lie. Vernon Wells has been
useless again, despite the home runs. His injury was a stroke of good luck for
the Angels who were able to replace him with the far superior Mike Trout.
Iannetta wasn't bad at all due to the high amount of walks he accrued, but his
replacement Bobby Wilson has been terrifying bad. Aybar and Pujols have been
worse than useless as well, though Pujols looks to have finally turned it
around.
