It is no secret that the Angels have faith in their newly appointed young outfielder, but as of June 19th, 2012, Trout qualified to be one of the league leaders. Trout's .337 Batting Average is only second to Chicago White Sox slugger Paul Konerko (.357) for the league lead. In 190 ABs, the twenty year old has accounted for 64 hits, including his 6 home runs, and is leading rookies in Stolen Bases (19), Batting Avg. (.337), Slugging % (.532), On Base % (.397), and On Base Plus Slugging [OPS] (.929).

While he looks to be making an easy run towards a Rookie of the Year title in the American League, many people also predict that Trout may be included in the All Star Game in Kansas City on July 10th. Considering the statistics that are listed above, it almost seems obvious that Trout would be selected to play in one of Major League Baseball's biggest nights. Angels fans have been putting vote after vote into both the online voting and the polls at Angel Stadium, penciling or typing into the Write in Section: Team: Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim; Position: Outfield; First Name: Mike; Last Name: Trout. However, with the usual flooding of Yankees and Red Sox ballot selections, along with many Texas Rangers names, and Toronto's Jose Bautista (Last Year's Top Vote Getter), may keep Trout's name off of the vote-in list. The players, though, will have the chance to select some players, and of course American League Manager Ron Washington (TEX) will get his choices as well. One can only expect that both the American League players, along with Washington, will select the rookie phenom to join the rest of baseball's best in Kansas City Missouri in July.

Trout's numbers are not a incorrect, or misleading. Mike Trout is what some would call "The Real Deal". Trout has made a name for himself, and is lighting up the scoreboard. MLB Network's feature show "Quick Pitch" has highlighted the young superstar many times, including on the 19th of June, when the fan vote made Trout the "Quick Pitch Most Valuable Player of the Night". On the 19th, Trout went 4 for 4 against the San Francisco Giants with two doubles and four runs scored. Trouts parents were at the Big A that night for the very special night for their son.

There is no doubt: The Angels have benefited since the call up of Mike Trout, and one can only speculate that Mike Trout will help this team for many years to come.
