Today our good friends at the MLB Network during “MLB Tonight” at 3
p.m. PT, will air a feature on Mike Trout that was taped at
Yankee Stadium this past weekend and in his hometown of Millville, New
Jersey.
The piece features interviews with
Trout and his parents, Jeff and Debbie Trout, discussing his rise
from his childhood days in New Jersey to being named an All-Star in his rookie
season. The feature includes family photos of Trout as a child, footage of the
Little League field where Trout played and his first All-Star
uniform.
The feature also includes
interviews with Trout’s high school coach, Roy Hallenbeck, Angels
teammates Torii Hunter and Mark Trumbo, and Angels manager Mike
Scioscia. Speaking about the ability Trout has shown so early in his career,
Hunter says, “This guy is like Rickey Henderson in the
making.”
If you cannot watch it at the noted time have someone at home set your DVR to record this can't miss episode.
Update
Due to a game on our network
going into extra innings, we were unable to air the feature in the 3 p.m. PT
hour. Instead, it will now air tomorrow (Thursday) on “MLB
Tonight” in the 7 p.m. PT hour, following the MLB Network
Showcase game between the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox. The feature
will then air again on Friday during “The Rundown,” which begins
at 11 a.m. PT.
Would you mind letting your
readers know about the time change? We don’t want them to miss it! Please let
me know if you have any questions or if I can help in any way.
