GAME 14 - RANGERS AT ANGELS
ANAHEIM – Ismael Valdes came back to haunt his former
teammates, the Texas Rangers pitcher holding the Angels to one run and three
hits in 7 1/3 innings in the Rangers’ 4-1 victory Wednesday before 15,632 at
Edison Field.
The Angels scored their only run in the second inning on
Orlando Palmeiro’s two-out RBI single. Palmeiro started in center field, giving
Darin Erstad a chance to get off his feet, moving him to the DH spot.
Valdes went 9-13 with a 4.45 ERA in 27 starts for the Angels
in 2001.
