Interview conducted by Rick Dykhuizen, AngelsWin.com Contributor
Last month, AngelsWin.com published an article suggesting that the Angels should promote Jeremy Berg to the Major Leagues in September. There are many good and compelling reasons for the team to do so. You can read that article here.
AngelsWin.com still stands by that article. However, with the Salt Lake Bees (Triple-A) in a playoff run, that promotion may have to wait until the Bees finish up the season, hopefully with a championship.
If the Bees do go far in the post season, a lot of that will depend on Jeremy Berg's efforts in the bullpen. So far on the 2013 season, Jeremy has a 5-0 record with 2.87 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and a 4.00 K:BB ratio in 78.1 IP. Those are some impressive numbers!
As the photo above shows, Jeremy is a sidearm pitcher. It's an unorthodox delivery, but when done well, one that can be highly effective. In his 5th season with the Angels, AngelsWin.com would like to see him promoted this September to see how his stuff could help our bullpen.
Recently, AngelsWin.com caught up with Jeremy to learn more about him as a player and as a person. Click here to watch our interview with him.
