With each passing year, our AngelsWin.com Spring Training Fanfest becomes more and more special. The number of fans that make the trip out to Tempe increases, while our special guests are popular fan favorites. In the last two years alone we’ve welcomed Arte Moreno, Tim Salmon, Jerry Dipoto, Tim Mead and Victor Rojas, to name just a few.
Today we are extremely excited to announce that Angels' General Manager, Jerry Dipoto, will once again be joining us for the AngelsWin.com Spring Training Fanfest! I was fortunate enough to be able to interview Jerry at last year’s event. He was engaging, candid, informative and quite funny. He was also gracious enough to take questions from fans in attendance.
It’s quite rare that we are able to announce special guests this early into the process*. Typically, we don’t get confirmation for guests until a week or two prior to the event. In fact when Arte Moreno joined us two years ago, we didn’t know he was going to be there until the morning of the event!
In addition to Jerry Dipoto joining us, we’ve also received confirmations from …
Angels Players
Kole Calhoun
Hector Santiago
Sports Media
Jeff Fletcher - Orange County Register
Joe McDonnell - Fox Sports
Mike DiGiovanna - LA Times
Entertainment
Sarah Colonna - Angels Fan, Writer, Comedian, regular guest on "Chelsea Lately" and star of the movie "Back in the Day” Rumor has it that comedian and sports fan, Sarah Tiana will also attend our event.
We will be announcing additional guests as they confirm with us.
It was such a blast having Tim Salmon join us last year that we are working to have another former Angels’ great come out and speak with the fans. And of course, one of our favorite traditions over the years has been welcoming players from the Angels minor league system. The 2014 AngelsWin.com Spring Training Fanfest is truly shaping up to be a special night!
People sometimes ask us why we do these Fanfest events. Because AngelsWin.com is a community of Angels fans spread throughout the United States (and the world!), the Fanfest events were born to provide us with an opportunity to get together in person. And while that remains one of the cornerstone reasons for having the event, this year we’re really excited to make it about something more. This year we’re doing it for charity! All the proceeds from the event's drawings and auctions will go to benefit our friends at the Angels RBI League and the Miracle League of Orange County!
We hope that you’ll join us for the event on March 8th, you won't want to miss it! Space will be limited to about 200 people and once the tickets are gone … they’re gone! So sign up today here!
* Note: Guest attendance is subject to changed based upon their schedule.
