After the waiting, Wood's time has finally come
TEMPE, Ariz. - The waiting was the hardest part – maybe less so for Brandon Wood  than for the fans who saw him as the next great thing for so long they began to question it.

Pineiro outstanding as Halos romp
Joel Pineiro, coming off five scoreless innings in his previous start, didn't allow a hit until Podsednik and Ankiel produced a run with doubles in the sixth, ending his stretch of 10 straight scoreless rounds.

Pitching stability returns to Angels
At this time last spring, Angels manager Mike Scioscia was all but asking for volunteers from the stands as he tried to patch together a pitching staff.
