• Cedar Rapids: The Kernels had a double dipper on Wednesday and the pitching dominated, allowing just one run on the day. Daniel Tillman hurled five shutout innings, striking out five and walking three while allowing two hits. Justin La Tempa a local product out of Huntington Beach struck out six in five shutout innings in the second game of the doubleheader. Travis Witherspoon stole his eighth base on the season out of ten attempts and drove in two runs. Carlos Ramirez who is repeating Low-A this season hit his second homer of the and has posted .241/.452/.483 line thus far.
