GAME 55 - RANGERS AT ANGELS

ANAHEIM – Scott Schoeneweis came within one out of a complete-game shutout, instead setting for 8 2/3 innings of shutout ball in the Angels’ 3-0 win over the Texas Rangers before 16,810 at Edison Field.

With two out and nobody on in the ninth, Schoeneweis walked Juan Gonzalez, and Angels manager Mike Scioscia came out with the hook. Troy Percival needed four pitches to retire Todd Greene on a fly to center to end it.

Troy Glaus, Garret Anderson and Tim Salmon each had two hits and one RBI for the Angels, who won their third in a row.
