GAME 112 - ANGELS AT WHITE SOX
CHICAGO – The Angels scored six runs in the fourth inning to break open the game and lead the way to an 11-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox before 17,706 at Comiskey Park.
Darin Erstad had three hits, Tim Salmon homered and drove in five runs and Brad Fullmer homered in a 17-hit attack.
Angels starter Jarrod Washburn gave up two runs and six hits in six innings to cruise to his 14th win. Al Levine pitched three scoreless innings and was credited with his five save of the year.
The win helped the Angels move closer to first-place Seattle in the A.L. West, where they are now just 1 ½ games out.

GAME 111 - ANGELS AT TIGERS
DETROIT – David Eckstein and Shawn Wooten each had four hits, Brad Fullmer and Troy Glaus homered and the Angels beat the Detroit Tigers, 6-3, in a rainout makeup game before 18,546 at Comerica Park.
The win moved the Angels to within 2 ½ games of Seattle in the A.L. West.
Angels starter John Lackey (3-2) gave up three runs and six hits in 6 2/3 innings to get the victory, and Troy Percival pitched a scoreless ninth for his 26th save.
Lackey gave up all three runs in the third inning as the Tigers took a 3-2 lead. But the Angels scored once in the fourth to tie the game, then went ahead for good when Fullmer and Glaus hit back-to-back solo homers in the fifth.
