GAME 161 - MARINERS AT ANGELS
ANAHEIM – The Angels warmed up their bats for the playoffs with a 14-hit performance against the Seattle Mariners on their way to an 8-4 win before 43,202 at Edison Field.
The Angels did nearly all their damage in the sixth inning when they scored seven runs to put the game out of reach. The Angels got plenty of offense from non-starters – including two hits each from Alfredo Amezaga, Orlando Palmeiro and Alex Ochoa. Brad Fullmer also had two hits.
Mickey Callaway went eight innings, giving up three runs and eight hits, to get the win and improve to 2-1. Troy Percival got some work in, pitching in the ninth inning and giving up one run.
