GAME 162 - MARINERS AT ANGELS
ANAHEIM – The Angels wrapped up the regular season with their club-record 99th win of the season, a 7-6 decision over the Seattle Mariners before 42,878 at Edison Field.
The Angels scored five in the first inning, fueled by a grand slam from Troy Glaus, his 30th home run of the season to go with 111 RBIs. Brad Fullmer also homered for the Angels, who will open the playoffs Oct. 1 against the Yankees at Yankee Stadium.
Angels starter Aaron Sele, working his way back from a shoulder injury but who not will be on the postseason roster, gave up two runs and three hits in 4 1/3 innings.
