May 20, 1986 the California Angels beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-4 at Memorial Stadium in Baltimore. Brian Downing went 2-5 with a run scored and RBI double and Bob Boone was 2-3, scoring a run and knocking in 2.  Kirk McCaskill pitched 7 1/3 innings to even his record at 3-3 on the season, striking out 9 in the game. McCaskill was a 4th round pick by the Angels in the 1982 amateur draft out of the University of Vermont.  McCaskill made his debut with the Angels in 1985, going 12-12 that year with a 4.70 ERA but his best year would be in 1986 for the AL West Champion Angels,  when he went 17-10 with a 3.36 ERA, striking out 202 and recording 10 complete games. McCaskill would have 78 wins for the Angels between 1985 and 1991 before leading the American League in losses with 19 in 1991, his last year with the Angels.
